Our Membership Process
Our process is simple yet personal
Because we put community at the center, we make it a point to meet all prospective members in person and introduce you to our space, our vision, and our values. All members will be asked to follow our Clay Space Community Agreements
Our process has a few steps
While we do value all skill levels, membership will only be considered to those with more than one year of consistent lessons and are able to commit to our minimum membership commitment of 3 months. We first start by asking you to fill out our membership application form, which allows us to learn a bit about your skill level and your needs. You will hear back from us within 10 days with a determination. If you’re ready for a membership, we’ll invite you to schedule a studio tour so you can visit the space and get a feel for our community and amenities.
Our member’s work area does not include instruction, therefore all our memberships require a strong base level understanding of the entire ceramic process as well as several classes and/or practice experience that shows you’ve really grasped the process. This doesn’t mean you have to be a master ceramicist, but we do need to ensure you’re working at an independent and intermediate/advanced level. Members pay 3 cents per cubic inch for bisque and again for glaze.
